Police hunt gunman who wounded 10 in Brooklyn subway attack

NEW YORK — (AP) — A man who posted numerous social media videos decrying the U.S. as a racist place awash in violence and recounting his struggle with mental illness remained at large Wednesday, a day after an attack on a subway train in Brooklyn left 10 people wounded by gunfire.Mayor Eric Adams said in a series of media interviews that investigators now consider Frank R. James a suspect in the shooting. Police had initially said the 62-year-old was being sought for questioning because he had rented a van possibly connected to the attack, but weren’t sure whether he was responsible for the shooting.

Student who mistakenly got R14m from NSFAS sentenced to 5 years in jail

A judge on Wednesday sentenced Sibongile Mani to five years in prison.

In June 2017, Cape Town-based company Intellimali accidentally paid R14 million into her account instead of R1400.

Mani, a student at Walter Sisulu University, has spent more than R800 000 of the money she mistakenly received from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).

LEC announces return of live audiences for 2022 Spring final

It’s the news fans have been waiting for: the LEC studios will open their doors to fans once again for the 2022 Spring final on Sunday, April 10.  After an extended period of offline play due to the global health crisis, Riot Games have announced today that the LEC finals will welcome back fans for the first time in almost two years.
Live audiences at LEC events have been suspended since April 2020. The LCK and LPL saw fans return as early as 2021, with the LCS only recently re-opening its studio for the 2022 Spring playoffs.
